The sheaves of this late harvest are memories, experiences, love, and most of all the faith that has waxed and wained over 82 years.

Raised in privilege in the shadow of alcoholism, I, myself, am an alcoholic, recovered just in time to find a great love, long marriage, children and career.

Difficult and amazing, this path led me to writing poems as I had done in childhood. The return of this gift is a miracle. It has allowed me to reckon with loss, ill health, and the deficits of aging with gratitude and, I hope, grace. — Keven Bellows
